Discovering the future of driving simulation

The Driving Simulation Conference 2024 (DSC 2024), held from September 18 to 20 in Strasbourg, gathered experts and enthusiasts to explore cutting-edge innovations in driving simulation technologies.

As noted on the event’s website, “With about 80 speakers in scientific and industrial product solution sessions, keynotes, tutorials, and round tables, attendees gained insights into the latest trends in XIL (MIL, SIL, HIL, DIL, VIL, CIL) and XR simulation for ADAS, automotive HMI, driving simulation design, motion sickness and rendering, as well as connected and autonomous vehicle verification and validation.”

With a focus on XiL and XR simulations, this event brought together 43 exhibitors and nearly 300 attendees, both on-site and virtually. Organized by the Driving Simulation Association, DSC 2024 was an invaluable platform for sharing knowledge and fostering connections in the industry.

Our experience at DSC 2024

Our application engineer, Edoardo Levantino, played a key role at the event, engaging with industry professionals while showcasing our innovative Camera-in-the-loop test bench, CamiL, along with its advanced line detection capabilities.

In collaboration with VI-grade and Rohde & Schwarz, we demonstrated how our technologies enhance testing and validation for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

Additionally, we presented a product solution poster titled “An Enhanced Steering Simulation Based on Haptic Feedback from Mixed Hardware-in-the-Loop Steering Bench and Multi-contact Tire Model”. This poster, developed with MegaRide, allowed us to share valuable insights into industry advancements.

"It was a good experience: it is very important to take stock of the state of research and development in terms of driving simulation, to understand the direction in which this sector is evolving and to remain at the forefront of an industry that is undergoing constant and intense development"

The DSC 2024 offered invaluable networking opportunities.

Edoardo engaged in insightful discussions with numerous professionals, strengthening our industry connections and deepening our understanding of market trends and needs.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who connected with us during the conference.
