Showcasing innovation at ADAS & Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo 2024: a deep dive into actuators and ADAS systems
From June 4th to 6th, 2024, we had the incredible opportunity to participate in the ADAS & Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo in Stuttgart, a premier event for showcasing cutting-edge advancements in autonomous driving and actuator technologies.
Key technologies presented at the expo
At our booth, we highlighted two groundbreaking systems that are instrumental in advancing autonomous vehicle technology:
- Brake-by-wire and drive-by-wire systems: these technologies have been pivotal in enabling autonomous driving in the Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League (A2RL) vehicles. By eliminating the need for mechanical linkages, these systems rely on electrical signals to control key vehicle functions, ensuring precision and safety in high-performance environments.
- CamiL and its ADAS camera: CamiL is designed to enhance autonomous vehicles’ line detection capabilities, improving situational awareness and navigation.
Live demos featuring actuators and ADAS capabilities
Attendees were invited to witness these innovations firsthand through live demonstrations, which showcased the practical applications of our ADAS and actuator systems. The demos included:
- Yas Marina circuit simulation: a live simulation of a lap around the Yas Marina Circuit, where target signals from a PC were sent to the actuators controlling various vehicle components. The real-time data from the actuators was displayed on-screen, offering an interactive insight into how our systems work under real driving conditions.
- CamiL line detection demo: in another demo, CamiL’s camera system accurately detected road lines during a simulated street drive. The camera’s performance was visualized through a graph, demonstrating the precision of our ADAS technologies in real-world applications.
Positive reception and industry engagement
The feedback from visitors was overwhelmingly positive. Many attendees showed a deep interest in how our actuator-based systems and ADAS technologies could accelerate their own product development processes. The ADAS & Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo provided a unique platform for us to connect with industry leaders, exchange ideas, and gain invaluable insights into the future of autonomous vehicle technology.
